Rook lived for 14 years, 5 months and 2 days. During that time, he was happy, mischievous, energetic, but most of all, always hungry. He was a loyal dog and a great friend. He died this morning after succumbing to kidney failure. His last few days were hard on him and after a long consultation with his vet of 12 years, we decided the humane thing to do was to let him go.
Goodbye old friend. I'll miss you very much.

He will be missed. He was a great dog and you were a great owner. I got to see him in the various stages of his life - and whether he was the crazed pup he was running around Madison Square Park or the older, slower, I like to think more mature, Rook we got to know the last few years, he was always a happy and loving dog.
